Where am I

Perhaps the South of France, or maybe the Riviera... wrong!

It's the glorious coastline of Scotland.

Ewen, why did you ever leave? It is absolutely stunning.

Vicky, there were times today that I thought I was on Highway One. The Sea on one side, lowland farming and mountains on the other.

  1. Hi Bob, It all looks stunning in the sunshine and hopefully that remains with you on the last 50 miles. You must have a feeling right now that is something extremely special as your challenge reaches it's conclusion. As a fellow walker I cannot describe my admiration for what you are about to conclude. Have a great day tomorrow. Barry J

  3. Yes today was lovely, while Bob was walking my itinerary was to come off the a9 and follow the road down to the beach where to my surprise at least 50 seals were sprawled across a stretch of sandbanks basking in the sun it was a delight to see. I then had lunch in Golspie looking over the harbour and then onto the castle which looked like a fairy tale castle. The castle and gardens were stunning and also a falconry display which was tremendous where the falcons came swooping over your heads they were well trained. If your ever up here its definantly worth visiting. I then drove into Helmsdale where we were staying and walked along the small harbour. My camera didn't stop clicking the views were amazing. Glad we stopped here, the hills are just covered in bright yellow gorse it is so pretty, we definantly came the right time of year.
